Welcome to Stanley Studio (the “Service”), an AI video product from Find Community, Inc., dba Stan (“Stan,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Stanley Studio takes your raw footage and turns it into finished, edited video, along with related outputs such as captions, scripts, and clips (“Content”). This includes our website, app, and AI features (collectively, the “Service”).

This Privacy Policy explains the personal information we collect from you when you use the Service, how we use and share that information, and your choices and rights concerning our information practices.

Stanley Studio produces Content for you to use as you choose. We do not publish or post to your social accounts on your behalf.

Find Community, Inc. is the controller of your personal information in accordance with the data protection laws of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. If you have any questions or comments about this Policy, please submit a request to friends@stanwith.me.

1. Personal Information We Collect

Personal Information You Provide: We collect the following categories of personal information from you when you use or interact with us through the Service:

  • Account and Profile Information: We collect your name, email address, and any additional information you provide when you create an account (such as your username and password) or use the Service. When you contact us, you also provide us with the content of your communications.
  • Financial Information: Our payment processor Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”) collects the financial information necessary to process payments through the Service. Your financial data is also processed pursuant to Stripe’s services agreement and privacy policy.
  • Content and Media: We collect the footage, video, audio, images, prompts, scripts, edits, drafts, and finished outputs that you upload, provide, or create through the Service. We upload, store, and process this Content on our servers and with the providers described in this Policy in order to deliver the Service to you.
  • Communication Information: We may collect information when you contact us with questions or concerns and when you voluntarily respond to questionnaires, surveys, or requests for feedback. Providing communication data is optional.
  • Commercial Information: We may retain a history of the projects and Content you create, upload, and produce using the Service.
  • Connected Account Information (optional): If you choose to connect a social account (for example Instagram, LinkedIn, X, or TikTok) to help inform or tailor your Content, we may access, with the permissions you grant:
    • Content Data: your existing posts, drafts, and engagement metrics such as views, likes, comments, and impressions;
    • Profile Data: your public name, handle, and profile information; and
    • Usage Data: information about how you interact with that platform when using the Service.
  • We use this access only to help you create and refine Content. We do not use it to publish or post on your behalf. You can disconnect an account at any time in your settings, or revoke access directly from the platform.
  • Other information not specifically listed here, which we will use as described in this Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.

Internet Activity Information: When you visit, use, and interact with the Service, the following information is created and automatically logged in our systems:

  • Log Information: your IP address, browser type and settings, the date and time of your request, and how you interacted with the Service.
  • Cookies Information: please see our Cookie Policy to learn more about how we use cookies.
  • Device Information: the name of the device, operating system, and browser you are using.
  • Usage Information: how you use the Service, such as the features you use, the actions you take, and the time, frequency, and duration of your activities.
  • Location Information: we may collect approximate location from your IP address. The specificity of location data may depend on the device you use and how you connect to the internet.
  • Email Open/Click Information: we use pixels in our email campaigns that allow us to collect your email and IP address as well as the date and time you open an email or click a link.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To operate and deliver our Service. To perform our contractual obligations or where it is in our legitimate business interests, including to provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Service; produce and refine your Content; provide support and troubleshooting; and send you administrative updates such as changes to our terms or policies.
  • To improve, monitor, personalize, and protect our Service. It is in our legitimate business interests to improve and keep our Service safe, including enriching your experience, protecting the security of the Service, and preventing and detecting security threats, fraud, or other malicious activity.
  • For AI Processing. Stanley Studio uses artificial intelligence to help you generate and improve your Content. When you upload footage or submit media, text, or prompts, we may process that information through our third-party AI providers (such as large language model and media platforms).
    • Purpose: Your Content is used only to generate outputs for you and to improve the quality of the Service.
    • Training: Your Content is not used to train general-purpose AI models.
    • Third-Party AI Providers: We may rely on third-party AI providers to process your Content. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only to provide the requested service and not to train their own models. Available providers and models may change over time.
  • Research and development. It is in our legitimate business interest to develop, analyze, and improve the Service and our business. As part of this, we may create and use aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data. We may share such anonymized data with third parties for lawful business purposes.
  • To comply with legal obligations and defend against legal claims. Including to comply with applicable laws and lawful requests; protect our, your, or others’ rights, privacy, safety, or property; audit compliance; enforce our terms; and prevent, investigate, and deter fraudulent, harmful, or illegal activity.
  • For marketing. We and our service providers may contact you about products or services we believe may interest you, for example by direct marketing email. You may opt out of marketing at any time by following the instructions in each communication or by updating your account settings. If you unsubscribe, we will still contact you about your account and other administrative matters. We may also engage third-party advertising companies, such as Google and Meta, to display our ads; for more information or to understand your choices, please see our Cookie Policy. Except where consent is required, we undertake marketing on the basis of our legitimate business interests, and where we seek your consent you may withdraw it at any time.
  • To facilitate corporate transactions. We may use your personal information in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, bankruptcy, or the sale or transfer of all or part of our business or assets.

3. Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Information

In certain circumstances we may share the categories of personal information described above, without further notice to you unless required by law, with the following categories of third parties:

  • Vendors and Service Providers: including providers of hosting and cloud services, media storage and processing, information technology, email communication and newsletter services, advertising and marketing services, payment processing, customer relationship management and support, and web analytics. These parties access, process, or store personal information only to perform their duties to us and pursuant to our instructions.
  • Third-Party AI Providers: as described in Section 2, we may rely on third-party AI providers to process your Content. They are contractually bound to use your data only to provide the requested service and not to train their models.
  • Professional Advisors: such as lawyers, accountants, and auditors, where necessary to facilitate the services they provide to us.
  • Business Transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or transition of service to another provider, your information may be shared in diligence and transferred to a successor or affiliate as part of that transaction.
  • Legal Requirements: where required by law or where we believe in good faith that action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights or property, prevent fraud, protect the personal safety of users or the public, or protect against legal liability.
  • Aggregated / Statistical Information: we may share aggregated or statistical information about the general behavior and characteristics of our users with prospective partners or other third parties to promote or describe the Service and for research and development.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Your Rights

Depending on where you are based, and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • access your personal information;
  • correct incomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you;
  • ask us to erase the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to restrict our handling of your personal information;
  • receive your personal information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or have it transmitted to another company;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for interest-based advertising. Our disclosure of information to advertising partners as described above may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under applicable laws, and you may opt out as described in our Cookie Policy or by using the “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link in the footer of our website;
  • opt out of profiling in connection with decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects (we do not engage in such profiling);
  • object to how we use your personal information; and
  • withdraw your consent to our handling of your personal information.

Requests can be made to friends@stanwith.me. Prior to responding, we may require you to verify your identity. Depending on where you reside, you may empower an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf, and we will require agents to confirm their identity and authority. You are entitled to exercise these rights free from discrimination. We may have valid legal reasons to refuse a request and will inform you if that is the case.

Limits on your rights and choices. Your choices may be limited where fulfilling a request would impair the rights of others, our ability to provide a service you have requested, or our ability to comply with our legal obligations.

Do Not Track. We do not respond to or honor “Do Not Track” signals transmitted by web browsers.

5. Children

Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 16. Stan does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided personal information to us through the Service, please contact us and we will endeavor to delete it from our databases.

The Service may contain links to websites not operated or controlled by Stan, including social media services (“Third Party Sites”). Information you share with Third Party Sites is governed by their own privacy policies and terms, not by this Policy. By providing these links we do not imply that we endorse or have reviewed these sites.

7. Security

You use the Service at your own risk. We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no internet or email transmission is ever fully secure or error free, so you should take care in deciding what information you send to us. We are not responsible for the circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures on the Service or on third-party websites.

8. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, maintain security, and keep business records. When you delete Content or close your account, we delete or de-identify the associated data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it. You may request deletion by contacting us at friends@stanwith.me.

9. International Users

Stan is based in the United States, and your personal information will be stored here. We may share your personal information with third parties who are also based in the United States. If you are based outside the United States, please note that the United States may not provide the same protections as the data protection laws where you are based. We will ensure that relevant safeguards are in place (for example, if you reside in the European Economic Area or the UK, we may rely on an adequacy decision or contractual protections for the transfer of your personal information).

10. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Service and our business may change over time, and as a result we may change this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will post an updated version on this page, unless another type of notice is required by applicable law. By continuing to use the Service after we post an updated Policy, you consent to the revised Policy and the practices described in it.

If you wish to lodge a complaint about how we process your personal information, please contact us and we will endeavor to respond as soon as possible. Depending on where you reside, such as in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may have the right to complain to a data protection regulator where you live or work. If you are based in the United Kingdom, your regulator will be the Information Commissioner’s Office.
